Dr. Jaclyn Miller is a Licensed Psychologist who provides therapy, crisis intervention, and trainings at Nicoletti-Flater. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and is a Level 1 AEDP therapist.

Dr. Jaclyn Miller first learned about police and public safety psychology in an introductory forensics psychology class in college. Immediately, wanting to discover more, she created her own independent study and externship with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in Rochester, NY. That same year, she volunteered with Rochester Police Department’s response team to canvass neighborhoods offering crisis response and grief support after a homicide.
Dr. Miller realized she was passionate about this small and specialized subset of psychology and began to research more ways to gain experience. Once in graduate school in Boston, MA, she took a police psychology class and did ridealongs with local PDs.
Shortly after completing her predoctoral internship which brought her to Colorado, she began working for Nicoletti-Flater Associates.

Dr. Miller began working at Nicoletti-Flater Associates in May, 2014. She sought out NFA because of the expertise and specialty work with first responders. To date, Dr. Miller has conducted over 10,000 hours of therapy with first responders and their families.
Dr. Miller has worked as NFA’s training coordinator and has presented on numerous topics with many agencies including crisis intervention, peer support and various in-service topics. She has responded to critical incidents including officer involved shootings and also extreme events with large psychological footprints such as child homicides, school shootings, and mass casualty events.
Dr. Miller takes pride in providing great clinical services to clients who are experiencing acute trauma symptoms following a traumatic event, as well as ongoing trauma processing. She is trained in EMDR, EFT and AEDP.
Dr. Miller has extensive experience working with military service members and enjoys working with first responders who are still active in the guard or reserves as well as veterans. She loves working with couples and individuals. Therapy and critical incident debriefings are her favorite services to provide at NFA.
Jaclyn is originally from Buffalo, NY and still cheers for her favorite team, the Buffalo Bills. Jaclyn and her husband live in Colorado Springs, CO with their two dogs. She loves to ski, hike, go camping, and see live music.
