Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Emphasizes acceptance of thoughts and feelings, and focuses on commitment to making positive behavioral changes in alignment with one’s values.

Behavioral Activation (BA)

A component of CBT, BA specifically targets patterns of avoidance and withdrawal by encouraging individuals to engage in positive activities.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to psychological distress.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)

A short-term treatment designed to help with insomnia and poor sleep quality. Through this first-line, gold-standard treatment, clients work on restructuring their thinking patterns and behavioral strategies to be more conducive to healthy sleep.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Originally developed for borderline personality disorder, DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness to help individuals manage emotions and improve interpersonal relationships.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

A research supported treatment modality for couples and families that helps people learn, understand, and share their emotional connection with themselves and others. The goal of EFT is to repair old relationship wounds so a couple can move forward using different skills and techniques learned in this attachment based therapy to bring them closer together.

Exposure Therapy

Commonly used in the treatment of anxiety disorders, exposure therapy involves gradually facing and overcoming feared situations or stimuli.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Primarily used for treating trauma and PTSD, EMDR involves bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements) while recalling distressing memories.

Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)

Focuses on improving interpersonal relationships and communication to alleviate symptoms, particularly in mood disorders.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

Integrates mindfulness practices with traditional CBT to prevent relapse in individuals with recurrent depression.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Integrates mindfulness meditation and awareness techniques to reduce stress and enhance overall well-being.

Narrative Therapy

Focuses on the stories individuals tell about their lives, helping them reframe and reconstruct narratives to promote positive change.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Emphasizes identifying and working towards solutions rather than focusing extensively on problems.
