Ms. Ennis is currently conducting research focused on supporting military families and understanding trauma within the context of parenting. Her academic background in forensic psychology, combined with clinical experience at a Trauma and Recovery clinic, has given Ms. Ennis a solid foundation for working with individuals impacted by high-stress environments and adverse experiences.
Growing up in a country where mental health was poorly understood and access to resources were limited, Ms. Ennis saw how deeply many people were affected. Her goal in entering this field was to support mental wellness in communities where stigma and lack of access often prevent people from getting the help they need.
Ms. Ennis recently joined N-FA this summer and is eager to apply her background and skills to support the work we do. Her growing
interest in working with first responders and military communities made N-FA a natural fit, as it offers the experience and exposure she is seeking with strong foundations in trauma and crisis response.
Ms. Ennis is passionate about advocating for trauma-informed care and supporting service members and first responders. She hopes to use this passion to support the N-FA clientele in meaningful ways. Ms. Ennis’s favorite part of this work is providing therapy that supports individuals and families in overcoming challenges, building resilience, and moving forward in
ways that feel right for them, because everyone’s experience is different and therapy should meet people where they are.
When Ms. Ennis isn’t focusing on her clients or education she enjoys exploring new restaurants and trying food from different cultures. She also enjoys taking walks and spending way too much time picking out new candle scents!
