Dr. O’Connor is a clinical psychologist providing a range of services to First Responders and their families. He provides performance coaching, therapy, training, critical incident intervention, and peer support supervision.

Dr. O’Connor is trained and experienced in working with high-level performers. He has worked with a range of elite individual- and team-sport athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels to sharpen the mental aspects of performance.
Dr. O’Connor has specialized education, training, and experience in working with military populations including combat Veterans and Special Operators in both clinical and performance settings. He provides ongoing performance services to First Responders and trainees facing performance-related issues.
Dr. O’Connor is also experienced in treating a broad range of anxiety- and trauma-related concerns.
Dr. O’Connor has been on staff with NFA since 2017. He joined NFA in hopes to continue his dream of providing clinical and performance support services to high-performers outside the world of sports.
Dr. O’Connor capitalizes on his dual-background as a clinical and sport psychologist to provide comprehensive, solution-oriented strategies to First Responders and their families so they can take charge of resolving whatever issues they face. He particularly loves training and working with individuals on performance-related issues because he believes strongly that a strengths-based, proactive approach to maintaining and improving mental and behavioral health ought to be the norm.
Dr. O’Connor was a collegiate athlete whose love for sports and building relationships led him to coaching and then to sport psychology. He quickly realized that his passions were broader than just athletics, and his drive to help focused in on helping those who protect our communities. Dr. O’Connor truly loves collaborating with individuals, teams, and organizations to bring out the best in themselves and to live meaningful, fulfilling professional and personal lives.
Outside of work, he loves being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with his wife, son, and their beloved family dog, Bonnie.
